Volunteers are in place and more are welcome for the Panola Partnership’s two-day membership drive which begins Monday, Partnership spokesman Colleen Clark said.
The Partnership is offering incentives for the volunteers who will contact the estimated 250 potential new members during the September 15 and 16 drive. Sledge Taylor and William Cole are co-chairmen of the membership drive.
Membership’s direct benefits include automatic listings on the Partnership’s Web site, www.panolacounty.com, as well as referrals by the Partnership to inquiries from potential customers of a member.
“We only refer members to those inquirers,” Partnership CEO Sonny Simmons said.
“If you are in retail business, there are minimal dues with returns many times over,” Simmons said.
Membership in the organization also includes free tickets to Partnership events including its annual legislative reception, annual banquet, membership mixers and other occasions sponsored by the organization.
The Panola Partnership has been recently successful in recruiting efforts that brought GE Aviation and Toyoda Gosei to Panola County.
The organization has also been successful in assisting in the continued retail expansion, Simmons said.
