We would like to thank the Batesville Lions Club for financing and supporting our trip with the 2008 Mississippi Lions All-State Band.

Of course the trip to New York City and Washington D.C. was amazing, but the experience will last a lifetime. Getting to work with the best high school musicians in the state can really open one’s eyes to what great opportunities the world has to offer.

Without their help, we would not have been able to participate in the activities the Lions Band has to offer, such as seeing a real Broadway show, laying a wreath at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, and marching in our nation’s capitol on the Fourth of July.

Again, we thank the Batesville Lions Club for their support and appreciate them giving us the opportunity to experience true excellence.
