Charles Herman Hardy

TEXARKANA, Texas–Charles Herman Hardy, 76, died Saturday, June 21, 2008, at his residence. He was the brother of James Hardy of Batesville and Mildred Moore of Pope.

Services were Tuesday at Dickins Funeral Home. Burial was in Chapel Hill Cemetery in Pope. Dickins Funeral Home had charge.

Hardy was an employee for Fed Ex and retired from the Air Force.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Frances DuBois Hardy.

Survivors, along with his brother and sister include: two sons, Bobby Hardy of Texarkana and Charles H. Hardy Jr. of Heber Springs, Ark.; one sister, Katherine Brechtel of The Villages, Fla.; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.


Hattie Lee Harris

SARDIS–Hattie Lee Harris, 78, died Wednesday, June 25, 2008, at Tri-Lakes Medical Center.

Services are Wednesday at 1 p.m. at New Rock Hill M.B. Church. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery. Felix Cauthen Funeral Home has charge.

Harris, was a member of New Rock Hill M.B. Church and a homemaker.

Survivors include: four daughters, Callie Mae Hunt, Maggie Pearl Jacobs, Vauneta Bradford and Easter Harris, all of Sardis; seven sons, Willie B. Hunt and J.C. Hunt, both of Kansas City, Kan. Frank Hunt of Sardis, William Lee Harris of Kansas City, Mo., Terry Harris of Fort Worth, Texas, Danny Ray Harris and Ronnie Harris, both of Batesville; one sister, Evilena Harris of Sardis; one brother, Willie B. Lawson of El Cerrito, Calif.; 30 grandchildren and 46 great-grandchildren.

Noah Ray Millner Sr.

BATESVILLE–Noah Ray Millner Sr., 70, died Wednesday, June 25, 2008, at Golden Living Center.

There will be no services. Wells Funeral Home has charge.

Millner, born June 22, 1938, to Raymond Brundell Millner and Monnie Melvina Rogers in Scottshill, Tenn., was a retired business owner and salesman. He was a Baptist.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Martha Ann Bumgardner Millner.

Survivors include: three sons, Noah Ray Millner of Horn Lake, Kirk Jay Millner and Branden Dean Millner, both of Southaven; one sister, Dianne Millner Andrews of Vicksburg; one half brother, Joe Baird of Spokan, Wash.; eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Glenda Faye Dunn Pruett

MARKS–Glenda Faye Dunn Pruett, 66, died Friday, June 27, 2008, at Baptist Memorial Hospital-North Mississippi.

Services were Monday at Faith Baptist Church. Burial was in Crowder Cemetery. Rev. Bobby Bell officiated. Kimbro Funeral Home had charge.

Pruett, born Nov. 15, 1941, in Crowder, was a homemaker.

Survivors include: her husband, William Jahue Pruett; three sons, Michael Jahue Pruett of Forrest City, Ark., Tracy Eugene Pruett of Sardis and Jackie Pruett of Pachuta; one daughter, Rebecca Lynn Gregory of Quitman; four brothers, Paul Dunn of Nashville, Tenn., Jerry Dunn of Mobile, Ala., Ricky Dunn of Hattiesburg, Danny Dunn of Marks and one sister, Barbara Smith of Charleston; 18 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

Hazel Lee Tate

BATESVILLE–Hazel Lee Tate, 87, died Tuesday, June 24, 2008, at Golden Living Nursing Home.

Services were Saturday at Dickins Funeral Home. Burial was in Batesville Magnolia Cemetery. Dickins Funeral Home had charge.

Tate was a homemaker.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry Tate.

Survivors include: one sister, Ann Williams of Little Rock, Ark.; her niece whom cared for her, Nancy Ginn of Batesville and one nephew, Wayne Houston of Batesville.
