HOLLY LAKE RANCH, Texas–Raymond Clark Arnold,  69, formerly of Sardis, died Saturday, June 21, 2008, at his residence.

Services are today at 10 a.m. at Ray-Nowell Funeral Home. Rev. Dayna Goff will officiate. Burial will be in Wesley Chapel Cemetery in Sardis. Ray-Nowell Funeral Home has charge.

Arnold, born Dec. 24, 1938, to the late Eugene Marvin Arnold and the late Ellen Chance Arnold, graduated from Sardis High School. He served in the U.S. Army and retired from Texas Instruments in Dallas, Texas, in 1991 after 30 years of service. He resided in Holly Lake Ranch, Texas during his retirement.

Survivors include: his wife of 48 years, Carolyn Rea Arnold of Holly Lake Ranch, Texas; three daughters, Gwen Prior of Trenton, Texas, Tracey Childress of Prosper, Texas and Jill Watson of Denton, Texas; one brother, Darrel M. Arnold of Sardis; one sister, Phyllis K. Arnold Morris of Yukon, Okla. and four grandchildren.

MERIDIAN–Jeffrey Scott Greenway, 42, died Tuesday, June 17, 2008, at the Dominican Republic while on a mission trip. He was the brother of Rick Greenway of Batesville.

Services are today at 10 a.m. at Highland Baptist Church. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery. Robert Barham Family Funeral Home has charge.

Greenway was a member and deacon of Highland Baptist Church. He attended Delta State University and owned and operated Greenway Remodeling.

Survivors along with his brother, include: his wife, Ashley Miller Greenway of Meridian; one daughter, Madison Claire Greenway of Meridian; his parents, Billy and Marie Greenway of Greenville and one sister, Kay Greenway of Ft. Worth, Texas.

The family requests in lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Highland Baptist Church Short Term Missions–to be divivided with Mississippi Baptist Disaster Relief.

TEXARKANA, Texas–Charles Herman Hardy, 76, died Saturday, June 21, 2008, at his residence. He was the brother of James Hardy of Batesville and Mildred Moore of Pope.

Services are today at 2 p.m. at Dickins Funeral Home. Burial will be in Chapel Hill Cemetery in Pope. Dr. Carl White, Jon Martin and Michael Jones officiated. Dickins Funeral Home has charge.

Hardy was an employee for Fed Ex.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Frances DuBois Hardy.

Survivors along with his brother and sister include: two sons, Bobby Hardy of Texarkana, Texas and Charles H. Hardy Jr. of Heber Springs, Ark.; one sister, Katherine Brechtel of The Villages, Fla.; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

BATESVILLE–Margaret Borchert Pearson, 77, died Friday, June 20, 2008, at her residence.

Services were Monday at Wells Funeral Home. Burial was in Magnolia Cemetery. Rev. Terrell McGregor officiated. Wells Funeral Home had charge.

Pearson, born Aug. 31, 1930, in Batesville, to the late F.W. Borchert and the late Stella Mae Taylor Borchert, was a member of Curtis Union Baptist Church and a homemaker.

Survivors include: her husband, Robert Pearson of Batesville; two sons, Doyle Pearson and Dennis Pearson, both of Batesville; six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

SENATOBIA–Charles D. McLellan, 71, died Wednesday, June 18, 2008. He was the father of Charles D. McLellan of Como.

Services were Saturday at Springfield M.B. Church. Burial was in Gravel Springs Cemetery. Felix Cauthen Funeral Home had charge.

McLellan was a member of Springfield M.B. Church, a farmer and construction worker.

Survivors along with his son include: three daughters,   Evelyn Nesbitt of Horn Lake, Oretha Howard and Alice Jean Buford, both of Senatobia; three sons, George Eddie McLellan of Memphis, Kenzell McLellan of San Diego, Calif. and Frederick McLellan of Senatobia; two sisters, Bonnie Jean Christopher of Buffalo, N.Y. and Cloteal Fitzpatrick of Senatobia; 19 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.

BATESVILLE–Florence Brush Rhodes, 86, died Friday, June 20, 2008, at Baptist Memorial Hospital-North Mississippi.

Services were Monday at at Pate-Jones Funeral Home in Senatobia. Burial was in Forest Hill Cemetery Midtown in Memphis. Pate-Jones Funeral Home had charge.

Rhodes, was a retired supervisor for the Donruss Corp. in Memphis. She was a member of Blackjack Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas J. Rhodes.

Survivors include: one daughter, Dianne Eason of Senatobia; one son, Thomas G. Rhodes of Greers Ferry, Ark.; one granddaughter and one great-granddaughter.

The family requests that memorials be made to Blackjack Baptist Church.

BATESVILLE–Charles Wesley Voyles, 85, died Saturday, June 14, 2008, at Tri-Lakes Medical Center.

Services were Wednesday, June 18, at Forest Hill East Funeral Home in Memphis. Burial was in Forest Hill East Cemetery. Forest Hill Funeral Home had charge.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Myrtle Lee Voyles; his foster son, J.B. Goodwin and one brother, Raymond Voyles.

Voyles, born to the late Taylor and Francis Voyles, was a World War II veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps having served in seven South Pacific campaigns. He received a citation for meritorious and efficient performance of duty during operations against the enemy on Tarawwa, Gilbert Islands, Saipan, Tinian, Marianas Islands, and on Okinawa Shima, Ryukyu Islands, from May 1943 to September 1945.

He was retired from the U.S. Postal Service in Memphis.

He is survived by one niece, Lynda Voyles Nash of Corinth.
