William Paul Brasher

OAKLAND–William Paul Brasher, 61, died Tuesday, June 10, 2008, at Baptist Memorial Hospital-North Mississippi.

Services are today at 2 p.m. at Marks United Methodist Church. Rev. Pat Ludlam and Rev. Charlie Simmons will officiate. Burial will be in Belen Cemetery. Kimbro Funeral Home has charge.

Brasher, born March 13, 1947, in Marks, to Marie Brasher of Lambert and the late Hershel Brasher, was a member of the First United Methodist Church and a veteran of the U.S. Army. He was the retired regional manager for Terra, Inc.

Survivors along with his mother include: his wife, Mary Catherine Peden Brasher of Oakland; one son, William Paul Brasher Jr. of Enid; one sister, Diane Riley of Jackson; three brothers, Robert Brasher of Lambert, Larry Brasher of Clarksdale and David Brasher of Enid and four grandchildren.

Louanne Wilson Denney

THE WOODLANDS, Texas–Louanne Wilson Denney, 70, died Monday, June 9, 2008.
Services are today at 11 a.m. at Faith Bible Church, 5505 Research Forest Drive, The Woodlands, Texas. Burial will be in Klein Memorial Park. Wells Funeral Home has charge.

Denney, born July 24, 1937, in Dallas, Texas, to the late Henry Ernest and Luella D. Wilson, attended North Texas State College. She retired from Storage Tech of Boulder, Colo. after 25 years as an executive secretary. She was a former member of Calvary Bible Church and served as a study leader of Bible Study Fellowship for 16 years.

Mrs. Denney returned to Texas in 2005 and became a member of Faith Community Bible Church, Bible study group, The Woodlands Area Quilt Guild and a quilting group in Conroe, Texas. In March of 2008 she celebrated her 50th wedding anniversary by renewing her vows with her husband, Norman.

Survivors include: her husband, Norman R. Denney of The Woodlands, Texas; two daughters, Deborah A. Gustafson, of Thornton, Colo. and Julie D. Poulton and husband, Sam of Louisville, Ky.; one son, Douglas R. Denney and wife, Tamara of Scottsdale, Ariz.; two sisters, Louise A. Staples of The Woodlands, Texas and Dottie W. Wells and husband, Tommy of Batesville; brother-in-law, Lee H. Gilby of Burton, Texas; seven grandchildren and one great-granddaughter.

Betty Ann Henderson

CROWDER–Betty Ann Henderson, 49, died Wednesday, June 4, 2008, at her residence.

Services are Saturday at 2 p.m. at First Oak Grove M.B. Church in Crowder. Rev. George Golden will officiate. Visitation is today 10 a.m. – 6 p.m. at Cooley’s Mortuary. Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery. Cooley’s Mortuary has charge.

Henderson, born March 22, 1959, to the late Ida Taylor Doyle and the late Mary Lee Watson, was a correctional officer for the Mississippi Department of Corrections and a member of Zion Chapel A.M.E. Zion Church in Crowder.

Survivors include: three daughters, LaQuita Doyle and Kenyetta Doyle, both of Crowder and Veronica Hall of Southaven; one son, Telly Doyle Sr. of Crowder; four sisters, Sally Harris and Linda Doyle, both of Crowder, Varnetta Buckner of Mengold and Addie Ford of Chicago; one brother, Terry Watson of Crowder and six grandchildren.
