SP Lady Tigers to host Lady Jags Sat.

The Souith Panola Lady Tiger fastpitch softball team defeated Madison Central 2-0 in the first game of the second round of playoffs. The Lady Tigers will play to lock up a spot in the north half tournament tomorrow at home at 1 p.m.

South Panola took care of Horn Lake in two games and Madison Central took care of Warren Central the same to keep their seasons alive.

The No. 5 team in the state, Tupelo, had its season come to an unexpected end when they lost to Southaven 7-3 Tuesday night.

Southaven drew Clinton who defeated Northwest Rankin in two games.

The two winners of these games will meet in the first game of the North State round Thursday, April 24. Games 2 and 3 will be played Saturday, April 26.

The state championship games will be played May 3 and 6. The north site will host the first game and the south site will host the last two games.
