Rev. James T. Buchanan

BATESVILLE- James T. Buchanan, 58, died Monday, January 14, 2008 in Memphis.

Services will be held at noon on January 19 at Rock Hill M. B. Church in Sardis. Burial will be in the West Tennessee Veterans’ Cemetery on January 23.

Visitation is from 5-8 p.m. at M. J. Edwards Whitehaven Chapel, 5494 Elvis Presley Blvd., in Memphis.

Daniel Reed “Dan” Keeton

COURTLAND- Daniel Reed “Dan” Keeton, 63, died Tuesday, January 15, 2008 at Tri-Lakes Medical Center.

Services were held January 17 at Kimbro Funeral Home in Marks. Rev. Murphy Eubank officiated. Burial was in Crowder Cemetery.

Keeton, born November 13, 1944 in White Lake, was a painter.

Along with his special friend, Mary Lewellen, survivors are daughter Patty Williams and son Mike Keeton, both of Batesville; brothers Calvin Keeton of Batesville, Lacy Keeton of Cleveland, Billy Keeton of Rockford, Ill. and Jerry McKinney of Clarksdale; sister Nina Spidle of Lambert; and four grandchildren.

Keeton was preceded in death by a sister, Ruby Garner, and brothers Kenny and Buddy Keeton.

Kimbro Funeral Home had charge of arrangements.

Tony R. Knight

BATESVILLE – Tony R. Knight, 55, died Wednesday, January 16, 2008 in Sardis.

Services will be held at 10 a. m. Saturday, January 19 at Hernando Funeral Home. Burial will be at Henry Cemetery in Corinth.

Visitation is today, January 18 from 6-8 p.m. at Hernando Funeral Home.

Knight was a member of Church Road Baptist Church in Horn Lake and was a veteran of the National Guard.

Knight was preceded in death by a sister, Jo Ellen Farr and a brother, Ricky Knight. Survivors are daughter Gail White of Goolettsville, Tenn., son Brady Knight of Hernando and brothers Danny Knight of Lantana, Fla. and Jimmy Knight of Corinth; and three grandchildren.

Hernando Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Brenda Jean Nichols

OAKLAND – Brenda Jean Nichols, 50, died Thursday, January 17, 2008, at her home in Oakland.

Services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, January 19 at Willow Springs Assembly of God Church in Enid. Burial will be at Bethel Cemetery in Enid. Rev. Tommy Darby will officiate.

Visitation is from 5 – 8 p. m. today, January 18 at Willow Springs Assembly of God Church.

Nichols, born November 5, 1957, to the late Charles and Martha Kendall McElhaney, was a homemaker. She was a member of Willow Springs Assembly of God Church.

Along with her husband, James Nichols, survivors are daughters Elizabeth Wilkes of Courtland and Jennifer Rawls of Winona and son James Snyder of Oakland; sisters Kay McElhaney Riggenbach of Oakland and Gail McElhaney Jones of Pope; brothers Ray McElhaney of Byhalia and Jimmy Dale McElhaney of Batesville; and eight grandchildren.
