COURTLAND—Steven James Lambert, 53, died Saturday, November 17,2007, at Baptist Memorial Hospital-North Mississippi.
A memorial service will be held at a later date. Coleman Funeral Home has charge.
Lambert, born to the late Warren and Elizabeth B. Lambert, was an instructor at Northwest Community College in Senatobia for 11 years and also worked as a tutor at the University of Mississippi in organic chemisttry. He played piano in a local rock and roll band for several years. He was a member of the Sardis United Methodist Church.
Survivors include: his wife, Carla R. Lambert of Courtland; two sons, Alex W. Lambert of Courtland and Steven Lambert of Knoxville, Tenn.; one sister, Deborah Summers of Memphis; two brothers, Michael Lambert of Knoxville. Tenn. and George Lambert of Erwin, Tenn.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to either the Sardis United Methodist Church Building Fund or the Missions Fund, 237 South Main Street, Sardis, 38666.
SLEDGE—Estella Diane Thompson, 43, died Tuesday, November 20, 2007, at Tri-Lakes Medical Center.
Services were Tuesday at Harmonia M.B. Church in Sardis. Burial was in Harmonia Church Cemetery. Felix Cauthen Funeral Home had charge.
Thompson, born to Rufus Harris and Patsy Harris of Sardis, was a homemaker.
Survivors along with her parents include:: three daughters, Rosie Harris, Felicia Harris and Edna Harris, all of Sledge; three sons, Johnny Harris, Coy Harris and Keith Drick Harris, all of Sledge; four sisters, Audra Harris of Como, Ruthie Mae Burnett and Ada Johnson, both of Chicago and Sadie Harris of Memphis; four brothers, David House, Terry Harris, Perry Harris and Otis Harris, all of Memphis and five grandchildren.
