Lewis is the first South Panola player to be selected to the All-Star squad. She was a four year star at South Panola, including team MVP the last two years.

For Lewis, volleyball is a family affair. Her older sister D’Anquilyn Harris played volleyball for two years. Two cousins, Lakeisha Harris and Bianca Broadnax, have played for the last three years.

However, Lewis’ volleyball career was almost cut short.  According to Coach Michael Cox, Latrice sustained a knee injury (torn ACL) which required surgery and very difficult rehabilitation in 2003.

Several college volleyball coaches have expressed an interested in having Lewis join them, including Rust, LeMoyne-Owen and Jackson State.
