NORWOOD, Lile Mae Ferrell
    
BATESVILLE – Lile Mae Ferrell Norwood, 57, died Thursday, January 18, 2007, at her residence.
     Services are today at 1 p.m. at Springhill Asa. M.B. Church in Courtland. Rev. Louis Wilson will officiate. Burial will be in Springhill Asa Cemetery. Cooley’s Mortuary has charge.
     Norwood, born Sept. 14, 1949, to the late Chester Ferrell and Famous Goodman Ferrell, was a press operator for West Side Cleaners and a member of Springhill Asa M.B. Church.
     Survivors, along with her mother, include: her husband, Wallace Norwood of Batesville; two daughters, Paulette Ferrell of Batesville and Charlotte Ferrell Flemming of Memphis; three sons, Danny Ferrell of Batesville, Billy Joe Ferrell of Memphis and Calvin Ferrell of Oxford; two sisters, Joyce Brown of Memphis, Mary Ferrell Ehston of Chicago; seven brothers, Terry Ferrell and James "Peter" Ferrell, both of Sardis, Charles Ferrell, Perry Ferrell, Rickey Ferrell, all of Batesville, Willie J. Ferrell of Woodleaf, N.C. and Tony Ferrell of Cleveland, Ohio; 18 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.


NUBBIE, Jimmie W.
    
MARKS – Jimmie W. Nubbie, 73, died Wednesday, February 14, 2007, at his residence.
     Services were Saturday at Wells Funeral Home Chapel. Burial was in Memorial Gardens in Clarksdale. Wells Funeral Home had charge.
     Nubbie, born April 17, 1933, in Pontotoc, to the late Jimmie and Frances Wise Nubbie, was retired from Ford Motor Company and a veteran of the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He was also a member of Enon Baptist Church.
     Survivors include: his wife, Betty Jones Nubbie of Marks; two daughters, Donna C. Logsdon of Elyria, Ohio and Laura Bissett of Lorain, Ohio; two sons, David M. Nubbie of Rougemont, N.C. and Jimmie G. Nubbie of Eaton, Ohio; two step-daughters, Myra Adams Yount of Senatobia and Melinda Adams Alford of Batesville; one step-son, Mike Adams of Batesville; four sisters, Ollie Vaughn of Pontotoc, Patsy Young Smitherman of Memphis, Faye Young Mays and Barbara Kidd, both of New Albany; three brothers, Jerry Young of Houston, Larry Young of New Albany and Gene Vaughn of Pontotoc; 17 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
