Running back Javar Pollard and offensive lineman Trey Poole will play their last high school football games tonight.

The Bernard Blackwell Classic is the all-star game between the North and South players in Mississippi.

Pollard switched from linebacker to running back last season. He had 104 carries for 578 yards and four touchdowns. He was captain two times and player-of-the-week three times. Pollard signed to play college ball with the University of Memphis.

Offensive linemen do not record statistics like the rest of the team and seemingly get overlooked.

Poole did his job admirably on the field and was named captain of the team for three weeks and offensive player-of-the-week for three weeks. Poole has not indicated where he will play college football.

Both were named All-Region I-5A players.

South Panola has consistently placed one to two players on the all-star team the last few years.

The Bernard Blackwell All-Star Football Classic will be held at Madison Central High School in Madison and begin at 7:30 p.m.
