The Tigers will host the annual Wes Smythe Classic at American Legion Park if the rains hold off and the infield dries, according to athletic director Ron Oakes.

Instead of a round robin tournament, the tournament will be a double elimination tournament.

Participating in the tournament along with South Panola are Senatobia, Oxford and Lafayette.

The teams will begin play at 4 p.m. Friday and noon on Saturday.

The losers of the first game will drop to the loser bracket and play for third place. The two winners will play for the championship.

On Monday, March 3, South Panola will be on the road to Olive Branch for games at 3 p.m. and 5 p.m.
