Young, Jennifer Russell
Jennifer Russell Young, 30, of Sardis, died Thursday, Nov. 6, 2003, of a homicide.
Services are today at 1 p.m. at Rock Hill M.B. Church in Sardis. Burial is at Rock Hill Cemetery. Rev. Clifton Ward will officiate. Cooley’s Mortuary has charge.
Young, born April 9, 1973, to the late Charlie Russell and the late Rosizetta Bell Russell, was a housewife.
Survivors include her husband John Dale Young; one son John Darius Young; her grandfather Earnest Bell, Sr.; 10 sisters, Vickie Russell, Pamela Russell, Barbara Ann Russell, Rose Marie Russell, Charlene Austin, Carlene Riley, Sandra Watson, Bernice Dunnigan, Linda Buck, and Brizell Russell, all of Sardis; nine brothers, Steve Russell, Hal Clay Russell, Phil Russell, Robert Russell, James T. Russell, Charles Milton Russell, and Alvin Russell, all of Sardis, David Russell of Senatobia and George Craig Russell of Milwaukee, Wis.

Tommy D. Young, 16, of Batesville died Saturday, April 19, 2003, on Highway 51 North, from injuries received in an automobile accident.
Funeral services are Saturday at 11 a.m. at Batesville Jr. High School Auditorium. The body will lie in repose Saturday at Batesville Jr. High School auditorium from 10 to 11 a.m. Rev. Ozine Thomas will officiate. Burial will be in Viney Creek Cemetery in Sardis. Cooley’s Mortuary has charge of arrangements.
Young, born May 29, 1986 to Rosephine Young and Tommy Strong, both of Batesville, was a student at South Panola High School and a member of Viney Creek Church.
Survivors in addition to his parents include his brother, Eddie D. Young of Batesville, and his grandmother Dorothy H. Young of Batesville.
