Fancher, Robert T. "Bob"
Robert T. "Bob" Fancher, 65, of Darling, died Tuesday, June 10, 2003, at the Quitman County Hospital.
Services were Thursday at Kimbro Funeral Home in Marks. Burial was at Marks Cemetery. Rev. Mike Smithey officiated. Kimbro Funeral Home had charge.
Fancher, born Aug. 5, 1937, to the late W.C. "Bill" Fancher and the late Quitman Harper Fancher, was a retired farmer, a member of West Marks Baptist Church, Mississippi National Guard, a member of Children of the American Revolution and an avid Ole Miss fan.

Faulkner, born July 15, 1931, to the late John Edward Faulkner and the late Emma Bowden Faulkner, was a member of the Baptist Church.
Survivors include one daughter Beth Daniels of Coldwater; one brother James Milton Faulkner of Batesville and one grandchild.

James Ella Faulkner, 80, of Senatobia, died Wednesday, Dec. 3, 2003, at North Oak Regional Medical Center in Senatobia.
Services were Saturday at Springfield M.B. Church in Senatobia. Burial was in the church cemetery. Rev. Jimmy Meyers Sr. officiated. Moore Funeral Home had charge.
Faulkner, born Oct. 25, 1923, to the late James Jones and the late Amanda Small Jones, was a housewife. She was also a member of Springfield M.B. Church.
Survivors include her husband Eugene Faulkner of Senatobia; three daughters, Rose Ann Jennings, Dorothy Bradley and Patricia Faulkner, all of Senatobia; nine sons, Glenn Faulkner, Lonnie Faulkner, Leon Faulkner, Stanley Faulkner, Eugene Faulkner Jr. and Wayne Faulkner, all of Senatobia, Jerry Faulkner and Johnny Faulkner, both of Como and Willie Faulkner of Sardis; one sister Jeppie Lyles of Chicago, Ill.; four brothers, Tommy Jones and Slayton Jones of Senatobia, Modie Jones of Memphis and Willie Jones of Valdosta, Ga.; 28 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
Fenger, Mary Sue Sneed
Mary Sue Sneed Fenger, 81, of Oxford, died Friday, May 16, 2003, at Beverly Health Care in Southaven.
Services were Sunday at Oxford-University United Methodist Church. Burial was at St. Peter’s Cemetery. Rev. Margorie Buckley and Rev. Martin Case officiated. Waller Funeral Home had charge.
Fenger was a retired secretary in the Admissions Office charged with Veterans Affairs at the University of Mississippi, a member of Oxford University United Methodist Church, in the Pilot Club and Bridge Club, she enjoyed painting, sewing, gardening and Ole Miss sports.
She is preceded in death by her husband George Alfred Fenger Sr.
Survivors include one daughter Cheryl Fenger Beene of Olive Branch; one son George Alfred "Al" Fenger Jr. of Oxford; one brother Payne Sneed of Oxford and two grandchildren.

Ferguson, Irene Dickins
Irene Dickins Ferguson, 96, of Batesville, died Friday, May 30, 2003, at Tri-Lakes Medical Center in Batesville.
Services are today at 2 p.m. at Dickins Funeral Home. Burial will be at Batesville-Magnolia Cemetery. Rev. John Howell, Jr. will officiate. Dickins Funeral Home has charge.
Ferguson, born Dec. 3, 1906, to the late David Butts Dickins and the late Georgia Frances Bobo Dickins, was the retired co-owner of Dickins Funeral Home. Mrs. Ferguson had been active in many community and public service organizations over the years including the Batesville Woman’s Club where she was a 50-year member and past district president and recording secretary of the Mississippi Federation of Woman’s Clubs. She served on the official board of the First United Methodist Church, where she was a member and was past president of United Methodist Women and served on the Advisory Board of the Methodist Children’s Home in Jackson.
The late Mrs. Ferguson served in many capacities with patriotic associations during her lifetime.
They included: Daughters of the American Revolution-serving as State Chaplain, State Treasurer, Delta District Director, Regent of James Gilliam Chapter, State Committee Chairman and Corridor Hostess at DAR Continental Congress in Washington, D.C.; Daughters of the American Colonist-Organizing Regent of John Buckner Chapter, Second Vice Regent, Treasurer, Corresponding Secretary, State Society Librarian; The Huguenot Society of the Founders of Monakin in the Colony of Virginia-Branch Treasurer; Dames of the Court of Honor-Charter member of Mississippi Branch, first and second vice-president; Colonial Dames XVII Century-State Chaplain, Second Vice President and Chaplain of Elizabeth Tilley Chapter. She was also a member of the Huguenot Society of South Carolina, National Society Daughters of Colonial Wars, Magna Charta Dames and Barons and The Order of Scottish Dames.
Survivors include one daughter Georgane Ferguson Love of Hattiesburg; one son Dan L. Ferguson, Jr. of Batesville; three grandchildren, Dale Kelly Love, Jr. of Lake Charles, La., Elizabeth Irene Ferguson of New Orleans, La. and Rev. Dana Ferguson Myers of Oak Park, Ill., and three great-grandchildren, Meagan Allie Love, Daniel Louis Meyers and Taylor Lamar Meyers.

Van Legge Ferrell, 79, of Sardis, died Friday, Dec. 5, 2003, at Baptist Memorial Hospital East in Memphis of kidney failure.

Ferrell, born Dec. 24, 1923, to the late Burford and the late Mable Legge Ferrell, was retired from Red Mill Lumber Company. He was a member of the Baptist Church, American Legion and was a veteran of WWII.
Survivors include one daughter, Michelle Sladek of Kingsly, Mich.; two sons, Stephen Ferrell of Zeeland, Mich., and Randy Ferrell of Saginaw, Mich.; and four grandchildren.

William Joseph "Billy Joe" Ferrell, 72, of Sardis, died Thursday, Oct. 9, 2003, at Baptist Hospital East in Memphis of heart failure.

Ferrell, born Nov. 15, 1930, to the late Burford Ferrell and the late Mable Legge Ferrell, was a member of the Sardis Church of Christ, an Elder and Treasurer and song leader of the church, president of the Lions Club and was in the Korean War serving in the U.S. Army.
Survivors include his wife Bernice Daws Ferrell of Sardis; two daughters, Susan Campbell of Senatobia and Joanna Bryant of Hernando; one son William C. Ferrell of Sacramento, Calif.; one sister Mildred Barnowski of Batesville; one brother Van Ferrell of Sardis and six grandchildren.

Edna Elizabeth Erwin Fisher, 84, of Charleston died Tuesday, April 22, 2003, at Tallahatchie General Hospital in Charleston of heart failure.

Fisher, born May 8, 1918, to the late Charlie and Abbie Jones Erwin, was a retired salesperson and a member of First Baptist Church of Charleston.
Survivors include her husband Hubert R. Fisher of Charleston, and one sister Blanch Erwin Ellet of Charleston.

Fisk, born May 3, 1949, to the late Clayton and Ruby Rogers Fisk, was raised in a Baptist Church, was an outdoor sportsman and enjoyed fishing and hunting.

Foughty, born to William Embrey of Independence, was a homemaker and was a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church where she was a member of the BYW.

Fowler, born April 14, 1924, to the late Joan Angelo and the late Nettie Hyland Fowler, was a retired plumber and Army WWII Veteran and a member of the Eureka United Methodist Church in Courtland.
Survivors include his wife Bernice Williamson Fowler of Courtland; two sons, Donnie Fowler and Larry Fowler, both of Courtland; two sisters, Osie Fay Fowler White of Nacogdoches, Texas and Irene Fowler Porter of Courtland; four brothers, Douglas Fowler and Coleman Fowler, both of Courtland, Harry Fowler of Walnut and Billy Ray Fowler of Conroe, Texas; three grandchildren and one great-granddaughter.

Joseph Raymond Francis, 73, of Clarksdale, died Friday, Jan. 17, 2003, at Clarksdale Nursing Center of heart failure.

Francis, born July 21, 1929, in Clarksdale, was a retired farmer and salesman for Arcadian Farm Supply. He served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean Conflict. He was a communicant of St. Elizabeth Catholic Church, and a member of Knights of Columbus, and also a member of American Legion and VFW.
Survivors include his wife, Mildred Furini Francis of Clarksdale; three daughters, Rita Harden of Atlanta, Ga.; Vicky Rybolt and Lisa Williams both of Clarksdale; two sons, John Francis of Batesville, and Keith Francis of Clarksdale; and seven grandchildren.

Dorothy Fretland, 86, of Williston, N.D., died Monday, September 22, 2003, at Trinity Medical Center in Minot, N.D.
Services are today at Our Redeemer’s Lutheran Church in Williston, N.D. Burial is at Hillside Memory Gardens in Williston, N.D. Rev. Morris Kirchhof will officiate. Fulkerson Funeral Home had charge.
Fretland, born Feb. 7, 1917, to the the late Washington Simpson and the late Julia Dixie "Arnold" Goodnight, was raised and educated in Sardis, she worked in housekeeping at Mercy Hospital and was a member of Our Redeemer’s Lutheran Church.
She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband Sig; one son, Dennis Fretland; two daughters, Wanda McNary and Linda Goedhart; a granddaughter Trina Fretland and 11 brothers and sisters.
Survivors include two sons, Rodney Fretland of Williston, N.D. and Edward Webb of Battleground, Wash.; four daughters, Pamela Workman, Julia Huravitch, both of Williston, N.D., Frances Page of Camas, Wash. and Jean Hammack of Tell City, Ind.; one brother Boyd Goodnight of Batesville; four sisters, Bobbie Leeton and Lillian Prince, both of Batesville, Lorene Abbey of Jackson and Minnie Lee Ales of El Cahon, Calif.; 20 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Fry, born Aug. 8, 1952, to the late Delbert Fry and Betty Ricks Fry, was a member of New Hope Baptist Church and a Vietnam Veteran.
Survivors include his mother Betty R. Fry of Como; one sister Pamela Fry Smith of Memphis and two brothers, Mike Fry of Como and Donny Fry of Memphis.
