The Tigers lost 80-61 in the last game of the evening.

The Lady Tigers led the entire game. At the end of the first quarter, South Panola had a slight 19-17 lead. The lead increased at halftime to 38-31. Outscoring Calhoun City 20-15 in the third quarter gave the Lady Tigers a comfortable lead going into the final quarter of the game.

The Lady Tigers did not slack in the fourth quarter and outscored Calhoun City 33-23 in the second half to take the big win.

The Lady Tigers needed this win after losing four straight games. The Lady Tigers are now 3-5 on the season.

Fondren was also the game high scorer. Other Lady Tiger scorers include Cheryl Cox 15 points, Erinn Gates, 11 points; Kim Dorris and Nicole Sturgis, 7 points each; and Shamekia Lawson, 6 points.

Tigers
The Tigers could not seem to get things rolling against Calhoun City, despite getting help from many different scorers on the team.

Calhoun City only led by five points at the end of the first quarter, 19-14.

The Tigers went into a slump in the second quarter and Calhoun City outscored them 26-11 to take a 45-24 lead into halftime. The Tigers felt an even heavier slump in the third quarter and fell even farther behind at the end of the third quarter, 64-33.

A new Tiger team emerged as the Tigers put up 28 points in the fourth quarter, but it was not enough to overcome that 31 point deficit from the third quarter. The Tigers fall to 3-5 for the season.

The North Panola boys looked hungry for a win, but lost 97-89, to the Coldwater Cougars.

"We’ve got an integrated program that’s finally coming together," said assistant coach, Clint Young. "People don’t understand we’re going through some tumultuous times."

That was Young’s answer to the question of "what happened to y’all tonight?"

The Lady Cougars of North Panola tried fiercely to put another win in the ‘w’ column against the Lady Cougars of Coldwater, Monday night, Dec. 16, but once again fell short of that goal with a 72-61 loss.

The Lady Cougars came out firing and at the end of the first quarter trailed 15-11. Alicia Jackson rejoined the team after a three game suspension for unsportsmanlike conduct. This was a coach’s decision and not the district.

Natonya Webb came off the bench in the second quarter and to sink a three-pointer to bring the Lady Cougars within three, 27-24, with 4:25 on the clock. At the half, Coldwater led 33-24.
