Mud Slide
The bridge on Eureka Rd. has been built, but the finishing touches may take just a bit longer. Signs previously blocking the road have been pulled out to the side and traffic is cautiously crossing the muddy area leading up to the new bridge. More gravel is expected to be put down on each side approaching the new bridge. Surfacing of the gravel areas will not begin until the gravel settles and the temperatures are warm enough to begin paving.

Relay for Life seeks walkers for event

The American Cancer Society Relay For Life is a unique concept that involves relay teams who takes turns walking, running or strolling around a track.
A party atmosphere prevails among team members camping out on the surrounding grounds during the entire event, enjoying music, food and camaraderie with each other, as well as other teams.
Many corporations describe the team-building relationship that occurs as similar to that of a retreat situation.
It also creates a unique sense of a community of people fighting for a common goal – eliminating cancer.
Teams of 10 to 12 people, consisting of individuals representing families, corporations, clubs, organizations and neighborhoods, come together in a friendly competition to see who can raise the most money and have the most fun.
