BIG BUCK CONTEST

David Taylor of Como won The Panolian’s 2001-02 Big Buck Contest with this buck, which measured 66.25 inches. Taylor won a Ruger M77 270 rifle from Batesville Pawn Shop, who measured and accepted entries for the contest.

Everett Kirby (r), of Sardis, accepts his certificate for second place in The Panolian’s 2001-02 Big Buck Contest from salesperson Amanda Edwards. The buck, which was killed on December 24, 2001, measured 63.75 inches. Kirby won the "l" Man Vision Tree Stand from Viney Creek Outdoors, who measured and accepted entries for the contest.
