New Greater Light Baptist Church has mid week services every Thursday at 7 p.m. Rev. Bobby Walker is the pastor.

Oct. 30 - Nov. 1

Hosanna Family Worship Center will present “The Last Page: a Saga of the End of Times..a Story about Today” at 7 nightly and 10:30 a.m. and 7 p.m. on Sunday. The doors open at 6 p.m. For more information call 578-8888.

Fri., Oct. 30

Abiding in the Spirit Christian Church will host a 3 night Prayer Revival at 113 Panola Avenue. The church doors will open at 6:30 p.m. and intercessory prayer will start promptly at 7 p.m. Contact Pastor Irvin Green at 662-298-1452 for more information.

Spring Hill M.B. Church in Crenshaw is sponsoring a black and white attire banquet at Marks Community Center at 6 p.m. For more information call Bobbie Flowers at 934-4208.

New Greater Light Church will sponsor a rummage sale and car wash at the church beginning at 6 a.m.

New Hope Church of God will have special speaker Gerald Crabb at 6 p.m.

Coleman Chapel A.M.E. Zion Church will host its pastor and wife’s love day celebration at 3 p.m. at the Patton Lane Community Center. Bishop Anthony Rodgers and Faith in Action Ministries will be guest. Macedonia M.B. Church and Pope Chapel A.M.E. Zion Church will be special guest. Rev. Derrill Blue is the pastor.

Batesville First United Methodist Church will present “A Visit from John Wesley,” portrayed by B.J. Johnston in the church’s Activities Building at 5:30 p.m. A covered dish supper will follow. Everyone is invited.

Liberty Heights Church of Christ worships every Sunday at 11 a.m. with Bible study at 10 a.m. Evening services begin at 4:30 p.m.

The St. Paul U.M. Church will have their church anniversary progam at 2:30 p.m. Rev. Juanita Booker, pastor of Providence U.M. Church and Buford Chapel U.M. Church, will be the guest speaker. Rev. Kent Brown is the pastor.

Mon., Nov. 2

Sardis District Woman Auxiliary will observe Baptist Women World Day of Prayer 6:30 p.m. at Sardis District Educational Building. The speaker will be Minister Rolanda Reed of Antioch M.B. Church.

Upward basketball and cheerleading sign up will begin at Crowder Baptist Church. For more information call 326-8335 or 326-7650.

Nov. 2-5

Church of God District Revival will be held at Goodwill Church of God and 560 Jamison Road in Marks at 7 p.m. nightly. Youth night is Monday and Gerald Crabb will be special speaker Tuesday - Thursday.

Wed., Nov. 4

Sons of the Father, music evangelist out of Frankfort, IL, will be in concert at First Baptist Church Batesville on Wednesday, November 4 at 6:30 p.m. Using a variety of styles, from acappella hymns and inspirational music to southern and contemporary gospel, Sons of The Father sing everywhere from the largest churches and events in the nation to the local church. Everyone is invited to this free concert. A love offering will be received.

Sat., Nov. 7

Faith In Action Ministries will be having a Youth Summit Gathering at 7 p.m. Derrick Sanford will be the speaker.  Bishop Anthony Rodgers serves as pastor.  Any additional information you can contact Derrick Sanford at (662) 934-2866.

Willow Springs will have a steak supper and auction from 3 p.m. - 6 p.m. The auction will begin at 6:30 p.m. To pre-order call 563-9443.

Pastor Dick Hill, formerly of Batesville, will be at a book-signing at Promises and Praises bookstore from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. He will sign copies of his new book, “A Glimpse of the Christian.”

Sun., Nov. 8

A reception/brunch at Batesville First United Methodist Church will honor  members Mrs. Allie Craig and Mrs. James Herron in celebration of their 100th birthdays. The brunch will be from 9:45-10:45 a.m. in the Activities Building. The public is invited.

New Hope M.B. Church will celebrate family and friends day at 3 p.m. Rev. David Walton and Manifold Wisdom Ministries will be guest. Rev. Richard Brown is the pastor.

Antioch Male Chorus will have its first anniversary at 3 p.m. Reginald Reed is the pastor.

Persimmon Hill Church will host Family and Friends Day at 3 p.m. Bishop T.L. Brown of Terry will be the guest speaker. The public is invited.

Nov. 8-11

Enon Baptist Church will hold revival services with Gary Stevens as the speaker. Times are 6 p.m. on Sunday and 7 p.m. Monday-Wednesday.

Nov. 13-15

The New Destiny Church Women’s Ministry will hold its Women of Excellence Conference beginning Friday at 7 p.m. with Linda Jones of Victory in Christ Community Church Ministries as the speaker; Saturday at 11 a.m. Julie Bibbs with Manifold Wisdom Church of God in Christ will speak along with Breast Cancer Awareness speaker Tammy Campbell, R.N.

The speaker for the 8 a.m. service on Sunday will be Ralonda Reed. For transportation or more information call Nyanthia Townsend at 662-703-9165.

Sun., Nov. 15

Spring Hill M.B. Church in Crenshaw will have its annual choir anniversary at 3 p.m.

Courtland UMC will have a “coming home” celebration - rekindling old friendships and sparking new ones. A time of greeting and welcome  will begin at 10:30 a.m., followed by a special worship service at 11 a.m. and lunch at noon with singing at 1 p.m.

Sun., Nov. 22

New Destiny Church and Outreach Center will celebrate its fourth year church anniversary at 3 p.m. at the current location 115 C Eureka. Elder David Walton and members of Manifold Wisdom Church of God in Christ will be special guests. Rev. Christopher Townsend Sr. is the pastor.

Faith In Action Ministries will be celebrating its sixth year church anniversary at 3:30 p.m.  The guest speaker will be Pastor Joseph Selman of Latter Rain Church in Holly Springs.
