Jerusalem M.B. Church, 110 Martin Luther King Jr. will have a Gospel Musical Explosion 6 p.m. Special guests will be John Hamilton and the Cavaliers of Holly Springs.

A program to benefit Rev. Larry W. Ware will begin at 6 p.m. at the Mt. Moriah District Association building in Coffeeville. Ware is the husband of Suzette Shields Ware and the son-in-law of Lincoln and Mamie Shields of Coffeeville. He is awaiting a kidney transplant. Proceeds will help defray medical and other expenses.

Pastor Fred Butts of Nelson Chapel in Pope will speak and special music will be presented. The public is invited.

Springhill Pope M.B. Church  will have its annual usher day at 3 p.m. Rev. B.F. Glover of Liberty M.B. Church in Coldwater will be guest  speaker.

Olive Ray Church will have its annual usher day at 2:30 p.m. Rev. Louis Wilson and Spring Hill Asa Church family will be special guest. Rev. L.C. Smith is the pastor.

Ruffin Grove M.B. Church will have choir day at 3 p.m. Rev. Timothy Smith is the pastor.

Zion Chapel A.M.E. Zion Church will honor its pastor and wife, Rev. and Mrs. Sammie Parker, for their first year of service at 3 p.m. Rev. Gregory Wilson Sr. will be the special guest.

McIvor Creek M. B. Church will host its annual men and women’s  day program at 3 p.m.  Dr. Eugene Whiting is the Pastor.  Rev. Winfred Bailey, pastor of Belmont M.B. Church of Arlington, Tenn. will be the guest minister.

Jerusalem M.B. Church of Batesville, MS will honor its pastor and wife (Luster and Barbara King) with a banquet 6 p.m.  at the Sardis PGA Building on Hwy 51.

Sun., Oct. 11

Jerusalem M.B. Church will celebrate its second year pastor and wife’s anniversary at 3 p.m.

The guest speaker will be Pastor Eric Nelson.

The 15 years of ministry and service of Pastor and Mrs. John Keeler will be celebrated at 2:30 p.m. at Oak Hill M.B. Church.  Pastor Willie Love of Brick Academy and Mt. Zion Hardy will be the speaker for the event.
