Two referred to grand jury for larceny, burglary

Two cases were referred to the grand jury during Batesville Municipal Court Wednesday under the direction of Judge Bill McKenzie.
Andre Raynor, 8417 Curtis Rd., Batesville, was referred to the grand jury for three counts of burglary, grand larceny and two counts of petit larceny.
Jarvis Mosley, 445 Sanders, Sardis, was referred to the grand jury for three counts of burglary, willful trespassing and two counts of petit larceny.
Initial appearance
Sayra Davis, 201 Bowden, Senatobia, entered a guilty plea to possession of marijuana in vehicle and driving while license suspended. He was fined $987.
Novan Foster, 22324-B Hwy. 35, Batesville, was fined $620 for possession of marijuana in a vehicle.
Marcus Henderson, 332 Chapman, Batesville, was fined $655 for possession of marijuana in a vehicle and no seat belt.
Keatric Scott, 311 Armstrong, Batesville, failed to appear to answer public drunk and indecent exposure charges. A warrant was issued for his arrest.
Ayinda Bordus, 9872-A Hwy. 51 South, Courtland, failed to appear to answer charges of disturbance of school sessions.
Taylor Edwards, 4657 Johnson Cove, Memphis, contacted the court about a shoplifting charge and asked for a continuance, which was granted.
Pedro Ramirez, 213 Bruce St., Batesville, was fined $1,547 for DUI, careless driving, no seat belt and no proof of insurance.
Cases set for trial
Cory Vaughn, 112 Williams, Batesville, was found guilty of disorderly conduct-failure to comply and was fined $340.
Jonathan Griffin, 5054 Hwy. 35 South, Batesville, had DUI, open container and improper equipment charges withdrawn.
Charles Dean, 766 Northwood, Batesville, had a case continued for DUI-refusal and improper lane usage. He was represented by attorney Helen Kelly.
Tickets
James Ladd III, 740 A Wells Ext., Courtland, was fined for expired tag and speeding. He also had a no proof of insurance charge.
The judge told him if he brought proof of insurance within the next week he could save $400 on his fines.
Anthony Murry, 12 CR 259, Etta, was fined $693 for no proof of insurance and improper passing.
Antonio Crump, 120 Williams St., Batesville, was fined $885 for no driver’s license, no proof of insurance.
Willie Laws, 155 MLK, Batesville, was fined $292 for no driver’s license.
