There will be a pot luck meal  to celebrate the 90th birthday of Naddie Morgan at 2 p.m. at Spring Hill M.B. Church. Bring a dish and join the celebration.

The Sardis District Sunday School and N.B.C. Congress of North Mississippi will convene on its fifth Sunday session at the Baptist Educational Building in Sardis at 2 p.m. Rev. Jacob C. Hentz will be the guest speaker. Their morning worship services begin at 8 a.m.

The Exchange Club Families First Resource Center of Panola County will have a community forum at the First United Christian Church, 1353 Eureka Road, Batesville at 9:30 a.m. Free continental breakfast will be served. First Baptist Church Batesville presents  The Heart of Christmas Sunday at 6 p.m.; Monday, December 14 at 7 p.m. and Christmas Eve Communion Service Thursday, December 24 at 5 p.m.

A Community Christmas Carol sing will be presented  at the Downtown Memorial Park in Batesville. Hours will be announced. All Batesville area choirs are invited to sing. Call 934-2887 or 563-3574 to register. The event is being coordinated by Batesville First United Methodist Church.

Mt. Zion Baptist Outreach Ministry will have its “women in red” program at 3 p.m. The guest speaker will be Rev. Eric B. Givens of Second Baptist M.B. Church of Coldwater.

The First Baptist Church in Como will sponsor their first annual Christmas musical  3 p.m.. All choirs and groups are invited to participate. Contact Tamekia Jackson at (662)209-1758 for further information. Rev. Chris Fairlee is the Pastor.


Wed., Dec. 23
Knights Of Columbus are offering smoked Boston Butts, turkeys and frozen casseroles for order for Christmas, New Years and Super Bowl. The meat will  be available for pick-up at  St. Mary’s Catholic Church.
