Four tracksters qualify for state from SP and NP

After weekend North State track meets, four students from Panola County public schools made it to the state round.
From South Panola, Chris Felix finished third in the 100-meter dash with a time of 11.28 seconds and third in the 200-meter dash with a time of 22.61.
Nicholas Porter finished fourth in the 300-meter hurdles with a time of 41.26 seconds.
North Panola had two tracksters to qualify for state, Shanique Burnette and Roydarius Jackson. Burnette placed third in the 800-meter run with a time of 2:46.48
Jackson qualified with a high jump of 5’10” for a third place finish.
The state track meet will be held on the fields of Pearl High School Friday and Saturday. South Panola will compete in the 6A finals Friday and North Panola in the 3A on Saturday.
The p=rivate school state track meet will be held at Jackson Academy Friday and Saturday also. Peyton Neal from North Delta will compete in the boy’s high jump.
