Patricia “Patty” Marie Carter

Patricia “Patty” Marie Carter, age 81, of Covington GA, died February 29, 2016. She was born on March 17, 1934 in Newark OH and grew up in Granville OH.  A loving wife and mother, she is survived by her husband, Fred E. Carter.  They celebrated 62 years of marriage on December 26, 2015.  Surviving are Jeff Carter (Kay)of Griffin GA; daughters, Phyllis Adams (Buddy) of Alamo, GA; and Krista Yeomans (Kevin) of Covington GA; sisters, Maxine Montgomery of Granville OH and Elizabeth Fulton (Robert) of Reno  NV; seven grandchildren; two great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.  She is preceded in death by a son, Thomas; parents, Archie & Catherine Shafer; brother, Archie Lee Shafer; sister, Dorothy Schilling.  
Fred & Patty moved from Granville OH to McRae, GA in 1971, then to Sardis MS in 1982 before relocating to Covington GA in 2012. Along with her husband, Patty was an avid square dancer and very active in the communities where she lived.  Over the years Patty was employed in the school systems of GA and MS.  She retired in 2009 as Executive Secretary for the Sardis (MS) Chamber of Commerce after 20 years of service.  A memorial Mass will be held at St. Augustine Catholic Church in Covington GA on March 19, 2016 at 2:00 p.m.  In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions to be made to your local Alzheimer’s Association.

ATLANTA, Ga.––Mary Lue Hill, 94, formerly of Batesville, died February 28, 2016, in Atlanta.
Services will be held Saturday, March 5 at Cooley’s Mortuary. Pastor Anthony Pollard will officiate. Visitation will be held Friday from 10 a.m. – 6 p.m. at Cooley’s Mortuary. Burial will be in Concord Cemetery. Cooley’s Mortuary has charge.
Hill, born June 30, 1921, in Batesville, to Bennie Hudson and Queen Ester Menzie, was a seamtress and upholsterer.

Lois Loraine Minga

SENATOBIA––Lois Loraine Minga, 81, died Monday, February 29, 2016, at her residence.
She was born on June 2, 1934 in Williston, TN to Mary Lucille Davenport Earnest and Tillman Earnest. She was a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church in Hernando, MS and retired in 1998 from Senatobia Community Hospital, where she worked as a LPN.  
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 5, 2016, at 1 p.m. at Ray-Nowell Funeral Home – Sardis Chapel.  Memorials may be sent to the place of the donor’s choice. Interment will be in Rose Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Saturday from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m.  Ray-Nowell Funeral Home has charge of arrangements

Robert Market

BATESVILLE––Robert Market, 64, died February 23, 2016, at Merit Health.
Services will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. at Cooley’s Mortuary. Pastor Zannie Leland will officiate. Burial will be in Shiloh Cemetery in Courtland. Vistiation will be held Friday 10 a.m. – 6 p.m. at Cooley’s Mortuary.
Market was born March 8, 1951, to Dallas Market and Louise Avant.

Dollie Ann Warren

ENID–– Dollie Ann Hall Warren, 62, of Enid, died Saturday, February 26, 2016 at Baptist Memorial Hospital – North Mississippi.
Services were held Tuesday at Willow Springs Assembly of God.  Burial was in Bethel Cemetery in Enid.  Dickins Funeral Home had charge of arrangements.
Warrent, was an LPN. She was born to Evelyn Bernice Woods Hall of Enid and the late George D. Hall Jr.
She was preceded in death by her husband, George Warren.
