Alex Dewon Bradley

SENATOBIA––Alex Dewon Bradley, 33, died Saturday, November 28, 2015, at Golden Living Nursing Home. He was the son of James Cox of Sardis and Johnella Carter of Senatobia. 

Services will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at Henderson Funeral Home. Burial will be in Senatobia Memorial. Henderson Funeral Home has charge.

Survivors, along with his parents, include: his step father, Hamp Carter of Senatobia; two sons, Jaylen Alexander and AJ Bradley, both of Senatobia; two daughters, Kaniya Bradley and Tamaya Bradley, both of Senatobia and one sister, Lashay Bradley of Senatobia.

George K. Burrus

POPE––George K. Burrus, 77, died Monday, November 30, 2015.

Services were held Thursday at Forest Hill Funeral Home and Memorial Park Midtown in Memphis, who has charge of arrangements.

He was a member of Liberty Hill Baptist Church.

Survivors include: his wife of 57 years, Beverly Jean Burrus; two sons, Michael Burrus (Faith) and Hunter Burrus; two daughters, Karen White (Tommy) and Cindy Wedaman (Bill); two sisters, Lorraine Stephens and Margaret Hart; six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Patricia Ann Duke

RULEVILLE––Patricia Anne Duke, 49, died Saturday November 28, 2015, at Ruleville Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. 

The family will hold memorial services at at later date. Dickins Funeral Home has charge. 

Duke was born Nov. 7, 1966, in Denver, Colo. to the late Jerry Wayne Jacobs and Beverly Anne Steele Jacobs.

Survivors include: two brothers, Randy Jacobs of Batesville and Robert Jacobs of Fort Smith, Ark.

Danny Charles Green

BATESVILLE––Danny Charle Green, 49, died December 2, 2015, at Merit Health Hospital.

Private memorial services will be held at a later date. Wells Funeral Home has charge. 

Green, born Feb. 4, 1966 in Memphis, to Susie Lunsford Mullins of Sardis and the late William Fred Green, was a 1984 graduate of South Panola High School.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Audrey Daron Lunsford. 

Survivors, in addition to his mother, include: his step-father, Eddie Mullins of Sardis; one son, Nicholas Christian Green of Olive Branch; one sister, Donna Green Miller of Guin, Ala.; brother, David Smith of Batesville; grandmother, Louise Brown of Sardis.

Jerri Lynn Holloway

POPE – Jerri Lynn Holloway, 47, died Wednesday, December 2, 2015, at her home near Pope.

Services will be held today at 2 p.m. at Wells Funeral Home. Visitation will be held at noon until service time. Burial will be in Crowder Cemetery. Rev. Keith Bolen will officiate. Wells Funeral Home has charge. 

Holloway, born Feb. 1, 1968, to Jerry Lewis Holloway and Betty Sue Nix, in Marks, was a former school teacher in the South Panola High School District. 

Survivors, along with her parents, include: daughter, Carrah Gray of Pope; son, Lee Gray III of Pope; brothers, Jeremy Holloway of Batesville and Lewis Holloway of Pope and three grandchildren.

Marnette Johnson

BATESVILLE––Marnette Johnson, 86, died Monday, November 30, 2015, at Baptist Memorial Hospital-North Mississippi.

Services will be held Sunday at 2 p.m. at First Concord M.B. Church. Pastor Christopher Townsend will officiate. Visitation will be held Saturday from 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. at Cooley’s Mortuary, who has charge of arrangements. Burial will be in Concord Church Cemetery. 

Johnson, born Nov. 28, 1929, in Batesville, to the late Mose Stewart and Carrie Spikner Stewart, was retired from Parker Hannifin and Company and was a member of Concord M.B. Church.

Survivors include: two sons, Saint Clair Johnson of Batesville and Hiram Johnson of Kenner, La.; one daughter, Patricia Johnson of Bowie, Maryland; two sisters, Doris Boss and Valarie Taylor, both of Chicago; five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Cearea LaCree Jackson

COMO––Cearea LaCree Jackson, 22, died Friday, November 27, 2015, at her residence. 

Services will be held Saturday at 10 a.m. at Second Baptist Life Center in Coldwater. Visitation will be held today from 3 p.m. – 7 p.m. at Felix Cauthen Funeral Home. Burial will be in Liberty Hill M.B. Church Cemetery in Como. 

Jackson worked at the Desoto Healthcare Center. 

Survivors include: two sons, Quendarius Robinson and Quendez Robinson, both of Como; mother Eloise Jackson of Como; father Tony Davis of Coldwater; two sisters, Ashyln Crump and Tahlyn and one brother, Tony Davis Jr. of Como.

Emma Jean Jackson

COMO––Emma Jean Jackson, 68, died Friday, November 27, 2015, at her residence. 

Services will be held Saturday at 10 a.m. at Second Baptist Life Center in Coldwater. Burial will be in Liberty Hill M.B. Church Cemetery. Visiation will be held today from 3 p.m. – 7 p.m. at Felix Cauthen Funeral Home. 

Survivors include: one daughter, Eloise Jackson of Como; one son, Ricky Jackson of Como; four sisters, Jennie R. Green and Rubystene Brown, both of Como, Thelma Askew of Senatobia and Laura A. Bassette of Chicago; two brothers, Clyde Brown of Sardis and Henry Howard of Como; seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Toby Rozell Wallace

MEMPHIS––Toby Rozelle Wallace, 39, died Wednesday, November 25, 2015, at his residence. 

Services will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. at Cooley’s Mortuary. Pastor Barry Jones will officiate. Visitation will be held today from 10 a.m. – 6 p.m. at Cooley’s Mortuary, who has charge of arrangements. Burial will be in Macedonia Church Cemetery.

Wallace, born April 25, 1976, in Marks, to Gloria Wallace Jones of Sardis and the late Otis Burgess, was a supervisor at Teleflex Medical Inc. and a member of Macedonia M. B. Church.

Survivors, in addition to his mother, include: two sons, Monterius Wink and Tevin Wink, both of Senatobia; stepfather Barry Jones of Sardis; one brother, Barry Jones Jr. of Horn Lake and two sisters, Teresa Jones of Batesville and Taronea Kebe of Bartlett, Tenn.
