The Panola County Sheriff’s Department is investigating a Wednesday afternoon shooting that injured Craig Stewart at 2448 Eureka Road, Batesville.

Chief Deputy Chris Franklin said the report of the shooting came to the sheriff’s department at 4:45 p.m. Further details will be available when investigators complete their work, he said.
Stewart was transported to the Med in Memphis for treatment.
