Mildred Alexander
BATESVILLE––Mildred Alexander, 77, died Saturday, March 21, 2015, at her residence.
Memorial services were held Wednesday at Cooley’s Mortuary.

Alexander, born May 13, 1937, in Charleston, to the late Dexter Moorman and Nellie Jones Moorman, was a homemaker.

Survivors include: two sons, Ricky Irby of Coldwater and Larry Irby of Memphis; two daughters, Angela Jackson and Alisha Rogers, both of Batesville; one sister, Mary Bethune of Oakland; 11 grandchildren and 11 great-great-grandchildren.

Mike Carroll Campbell
GRENADA––Dr. Mike Carroll Campbell, Jr., 79, of Grenada, formerly of Batesville, died Wednesday, March 25, 2015, in Starkville.

Services will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, March 27 at First United Methodist Church. Officiants are Rev. J.C. Hubbard, Rev. Jack Smith and Rev. Tom Potter. Interment will follow at Spring Hill Cemetery.

 He was born on August 26, 1935 to the late Edna Jackson Campbell and Mike Carroll Campbell Sr.  He was a member of First United Methodist Church in Grenada.

Dr. Campbell retired after 40 years of practicing ophthalmology at Braswell-Campbell Eye Clinic in Grenada.  He was an avid outdoorsman who loved to go handfishing and duck hunting with his family and friends at Duckers Roost in Tallahatchie County.

He was also an avid Mississippi State sports fan.  Dr. Campbell was a U. S. Navy and U. S. Army veteran who served his country overseas in Operation Desert Storm. 

Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Alma Dubard Campbell; three daughters: Debbie Campbell Dambrino (Robin), Angie Campbell Thomas (Brent), and Cindy Campbell Nobile (David), two sons: Mike Carroll Campbell III (Samantha), all of Grenada, and Dr. Mark E. Campbell of Oxford; granddaughters Kristian Dambrino, Kathryn Dambrino, Stephanie Stanford, Miranda Campbell, Campbell Thomas, Catherine Thomas, Abby Grace Campbell and grandsons, Josh Stanford, Jamie Stanford (Virginia), Rob Dambrino, Mike Carroll Campbell IV, Gibson Campbell, Mark Edward Campbell, Adam Campbell, Will Campbell and Cole Campbell. 
Also surviving Dr. Campbell is his sister, Sandra Stone of Batesville and sister-in-law Barbara Campbell of Grenada.

Memorials may be made to Grenada First United Methodist Church or Kirk Academy.

Audra Elise Earby
 
SARDIS–– Audra Elise Earby, 16, died in Grenada March 4, 2015. She was the daughter of Gerald and Robin Earby of Sardis.

Survivors along with her parents include: her brother, Seth Earby of Omaha, Nebraska.       
A memorial service to celebrate her life is Saturday, March 28 at the Church of Christ in Batesville. A visitation with the family will be held at the church an hour prior to the service. Garner-Harper Funeral Home has charge.

  She was a former student of South Panola, and later home-schooled where she was close to graduating early.

She loved to write short stories, and had a passion for drawing and art and was beginning to decide which art college she would attend.

Jessie Jones Jr.
   COLDWATER––Jessie Jones Jr., 73, died Saturday, March 21, 2015, in Memphis.
Services will be held Saturday at noon at New Independence in Coldwater with visitation from 11 a.m. until service time. Burial will be in New Independence Church Cemetery. Rodgers Funeral Home has charge.

Jones worked for MDOT in construction.

Survivors include: three daughters, Fairnetta Hudson of Power Springs, Ga., Shawn Scott and Kelia Scott, both of Como; one son, Michael Jones of Cincinatti, Ohio; four sisters, Leona Washington, Verlina Artemus, both of Coldwater, Bertha Pitts of Detroit and Ruth Davis of Pelham, Ala.; one brother, Vernnie Ray Jones of Coldwater and five grandchildren.
