DUI convictions bring fines in city court Wednesday session

Judge Bill McKenzie referred a Batesville man to the grand jury during Batesville Municipal Court held Wednesday.

Kevin Butler, 114 Autumn, Batesville, was referred to the grand jury for aggravated domestic violence.

Ketrick D. Dean, 648 South Pocahontas, Sardis, paid a fine of $225 for public drunk in full prior to court.

Michael Wright, 105-B Patton Lane, Batesville, had 90 days suspended jail sentence for failing to complete work program for old fines of $647 due since December 2014 and new fines of $225 for public drunk.

Kajarvis Bradford, 103 Booker T, Batesville, entered a guilty plea to disorderly conduct-failure to comply. He was fined $347.

Michael A. Ross, 114 Matthews Dr. #57, Senatobia, had a case for domestic violence-simple assault continued.

Keith L. Harmon, 201 Jones St., Batesville, entered a guilty plea to DUI and speeding. He was fined $930.

Gary Melton, 3468 Brewer Rd., Batesville, was told to have all of his fines of $2,007 paid in full within 30 days. He also had fines for DUI, careless driving and no driver’s license.

Jessica Dalton, 1477 Peavine Rd., Coldwater, failed to appear to answer shoplifting charges.
Larry Mims, 436 North St., Coldwater, entered a guilty plea to shoplifting infant clothes, DVDs and other items worth $127 from Walmart. He was fined $1,146.

Ericka M. Taylor, 3491 McKinney Rd., Sardis, entered a guilty plea to shoplifting infant clothes, DVDs and other items worth $127 from Walmart. She was fined $1,146.

Undrell Salter, 83 Graham Rd., Sardis, was found not guilty of simple assault after a short trial.
Derek Carlisle, 201 Latitia St., Batesville, was represented by attorney David Walker for DUI. He was fined $1,079 and had charges for no proof of insurance, open container and driving without headlights remanded to the files.

Michael Corley, 138 Greenbriar, Courtland, was fined $779 for DUI-refusal. He was represented by attorney Kirk Willingham.
