The Cougars played a strenous 7 vs 7 and 11 vs  11 schedule and ended 19-3.

“We competed hard and built a very strong team bond,” said head coach Derek King. “Our players sacrificed for each other and impressed everyone who saw them. Having our whole team show up all summer has been amazing!”

In scheduling news, the August 29 game against Byhalia will be played in Byhalia instead of being a home game for North Panola.

Last year, due to the school shooting, Byhalia refused to come to North Panola. Instead of North Panola accepting the forfeit, the Cougars traveled to Byhalia with the understanding that this year the game would be played in Sardis.

However, Byhalia would not agree to a change of contract so the game will be played there for the second straight year.

The Cougars kick off the season Friday, August 22 at Rosa Fort in Tunica. Their first home game is now September 5 against Hernando.
