First Security Bank’s Relay for Life Team is selling chances to win a cake to benefit the American Cancer Society. Chances are $1 each and multiple cakes will be given away April 18. Tickets can be purchased at the First Security Bank Main Branch in Batesville.

A weight management support group meets with a registered dietitian from the University of Mississippi’s Nutrition Clinic at 6 p.m. in the South Panola High School library. The group meets monthly, is open to anyone in the community and is offered free of charge.
Kindergarten registration at Batesville Elementary and Pope School will take place from 9-2. Children must be 5 years old on or before September 1, 2014 to be eligible. Parents must bring: certified birth certificate, immunization compliance form, social security card, two proofs of 911 address.
