Thomas found guilty by jury

Late Thursday afternoon after 43 minutes of deliberation, a Panola County

jury found Christopher Thomas of Courtland guilty of both counts, capital

murder and  conspiracy to commit armed robbery, in the death of Tovell

Henderson on the night of May 3, 2013.

Extra law enforcement was summoned to the Batesville Courthouse following

the verdict according to Panola County Circuit Clerk Melissa Meek-Phelps who

indicated emotions were running high for family and friends of both the

accused and deceased.

Law enforcement escorted jurors to their cars following the trial according

to Meek-Phelps.

Thomas will be sentenced Thursday, February 6 according to the Panola County

Circuit Clerk's office.
