I remember Mr.Boyd. I think we called him Gene. I graduated in 1953 so he was 3 yrs ahead of me. I remember the lodge and the only in ground swimming pool in this town. Everyone used to go to Barnacre to swim. The only other place we had then to swin was Sardis Dam.This brings back memories.

i read about the 1st tv in batesville that my dad had at his shop. i was the youngest and all that happened before i was born but growing up we always had tv and i've heard all the stories about people lining up to watch my dads tv. he dided in 1991 and no one wrote big stories about how he helped batesville but i;m proud to call him my dad and i miss him very much and nails radio and tv shop. lots of happy memories right on the square of batesville
