The North Delta varsity Lady Wave downed Lee Academy in district action by 35 points, 67-31. The Junior High also won big 42-23.
The varsity Lady Wave had an even larger blowout beating the Colts by 35 in their first district game of the season.  What sparked North Delta was a 22-2 first quarter showing that allowed them to easily come away with the victory.
Surprisingly, the Lady Green Wave started with a half court man-to-man defense instead of going with the favorite full court press.  Nevertheless, North Delta lit up the scoreboard while only allowing two points as it seemed like it was turnover after turnover for the Colts.  If it was not a steal, it was a bad pass going out of bounds due to pressure from the Green Wave defense.
Even more scoring came in the second quarter as North Delta found themselves putting together a 23-point effort totaling 45 first half points. They were on pace to score 90.
To start the quarter, North Delta lined up in a 1-3-1 defense to force more bad passes by the Colts. Ally Alford and Faith Bollinger were scoring at a high percentage as they flew through the Lee Academy defense each time down the court.
Whether it was from a fast break layup or a jump shot in space, both girls were on fire.  Faith Bollinger and Alford combined for 31 of the 45 points for the Lady Waves.
After a fast-paced and fun first half, North Delta slowed the pace in the second.  Alford and Bollinger scored nine more points together to total nine of the 11 points in the quarter to cap off their efforts.
North Delta changed to a man-to-man defense for most of the second half and called it a day. They won easily and put on an offensive display while doing it.
Leading in scoring was Alford with 22 points, four rebounds, five steals, and three assists, followed by Faith Bollinger with 19 points, one rebound, five steals, and two assists.
Other scorers include Ema Cay Donaldson, 13 points, four rebounds, one steal; Hannah Bollinger, two points, two rebounds, two steals, two assists; Isabella Morrow, four points, two rebounds, two assists; Maci Kirkland, two points, five rebounds, one steal, one block; Payton Scott, two points, one rebound; and Sayle Stennett, two points, four rebounds, two steals, two assists.
North Delta Junior High jumped out to a 17-2 lead and cruised to an easy victory over the Colts from Lee Academy.
Ally Alford and Hannah Bollinger combined for 15 of the 17 points in the quarter while Isabella Morrow earned a trip to the free throw line to tally the remaining two points.
It was a heavy dose of pressure on defense, which turned to easy baskets on offense for the Lady Waves.
With the second quarter starting, North Delta slowed things down to a half court defense. On offense, a host of players picked up the slack.
Ema Cay Donaldson had seven second quarter points, and Libby Miller scored six in the game to help lead the Green Wave in scoring for the rest of the game.
The third quarter alone had points scored from Griffin Rico, Sydney Talley, Shelby Grace Boone and Eliza Morris all combined for 10 points. The Lady Waves sailed their way to a 42-23 victory over the Lee Academy Colts.
