Kenny Bagwell

HERNANDO––Kenny Wray “Ken” Bagwell, 71, died Wednesday, October 5, 2016, in Tunica.
The family will hold a private memorial service at a later date. Wells Funeral Home has charge.
Bagwell, born May 31, 1949, to the late Kenneth Bagwell and Lallie Wray Bagwell, in Winona, was a physics teacher.
Bagwell coached football in Drew and girls basketball in Helena, Ark. He taught physics at Drew High School, Pascagoula High School, and Mississippi  Gulf Coast Community College – Jefferson Davis Campus before retirement.

Irene Holloway

MEMPHIS––Irene Holloway, 67, formerly of Sardis, died Monday, October 3, 2016, at her residence.
Services will be held Saturday at 2:30 p.m. at Cooley’s Mortuary. Pastor Travis Willingham will officiate. Burial will follow in New Bethlehem Church Cemetery. Cooley’s Mortuary has charge.
Holloway, born Nov. 24, 1948, in Sardis, to the late John L. Ballentine and Arenna C. Ballentine, was a retired maintenance worker.
Survivors include: three daughters, Patricia Holloway, Angel Pegues and Lily Ruth Warren, all of Memphis; five brothers, John Ballentine, Joseph Ballentine, Hubert Ballentine, all of Memphis, Leon Ballentine and Frank Ballentine, both of Milwaukee; two sisters, Beatrice Reeves of Southaven and Debla Rowan of Memphis; eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Billy Gwinn Oats Sr.

Billy Gwinn Oates Sr., 76, died Wednesday, October 5, 2016, at Baptist Memorial Hospital-North Mississippi.
Services will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. at Waller Funeral home with Rev. Ken Hanks officiating. Visitation will be held Friday from 4 p.m. – 7 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Abbeville Cemetery. Waller Funeral Home in Oxford has charge.
Born to the late Marion Oliver and Elizabeth Edna Morrison Oates, he was a retired carpenter.

Grady Milton Taylor Sr.

Grady Milton Taylor, Sr., 92, of Coldwater, passed away Tuesday, October 4, 2016, at Baptist Memorial Hospital-DeSoto in Southaven.
Services will be held Saturday, October 8, at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Pate-Jones Funeral Home in Senatobia.  Burial will follow at Brooks Chapel Cemetery.  A visitation will be held at the funeral home Friday from 6-8 p.m. and Saturday from 1-2 p.m. Pate Jones Funeral Home has charge.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Katherlene Eddins Taylor and brothers, Robert Taylor and Ed Ray Taylor.
He is survived by his daughters, Kathy T. Marlow (Grady) of Coldwater, and Linda T. Steward (Jimmy ) of Wyatte; son, Milton Taylor (Rachel) of Coldwater; sister, Janie Clark of Kosciusko; grandchildren, Amanda Greshem, Lauren Freemen, Allison Chavez and Taylor Steward; and great-grandchildren, Camille, Catherine Grace, Rosie, Emmy Rose and Lucas.
Memorials may be sent to Brooks Chapel Cemetery Fund.

Jack Tunson Jr.

COURTLAND–Jack Tunson Jr., 71, died Monday, October 3, 2016 at Merit Health Batesville.
He was a construction worker and member of  Shiloh M.B. Church. Mr. Tunson enjoyed fishing and hunting and had played baseball at Patton Lane High School.
Funeral services will be Sunday, October 9 at 2 p.m. at Shiloh M.B. Church. The Rev. Carl Brown will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Eddie Robinson Funeral Home has charge.
Mr. Tunson is survived by five sisters, Sue T. Brassell, Ethel Henderson, Laurarine Winfield, Hattie Smith and Mary Lou Taylor; two brothers, John Smith and Walter C. Tunson.

Christopher George Young

CROWDER––Christopher George Young, 42, died Monday, October 3, 2016, in Tallahatchie County.
Memorial services will be held Saturday, October 8, at 2 p.m. at Crowder Assembly of God. Visitation will be held from noon until services. Rev. Hall will officiate. Wells Funeral Home has charge.
Young, born July 18, 1974, to Polly Sue Donaldson Young of Charleston and the late Albert Young, was a traveling electrician for Faith Tech. and a member of Eastside Baptist Church in Belzoni.
