Barbara J. Blair

Barbara J. Blair, 79, widow of Bobby Joe Blair, passed away Sunday, September 25, 2016 at the Memphis Jewish Home in Cordova.
Funeral services are incomplete at this time and will be announced as they are made available. Wells Funeral Home has charge.

Darrell Lee Cook

BATESVILLE––Darrell Lee Cook, 81, passed away Thursday, September 22, 2016, at his home.
Memorial services were Sunday at Wells Funeral Home.
Born January 22, 1935, in Massillon, Ohio to the late John Henry Cook and Rose Anna Elener Cook, he was a retired production supervisor for Parker Hannifin.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and was a communicant of St. Mary Catholic Church in Batesville.

Patsy Dulin

Patsy Dulin, 66, of Batesville, died Thursday, September 22, 2016, at Baptist Memorial Hospital-North Mississippi.
Services were held Saturday at Wells Funeral Home. Interment was held at at Cold Springs Cemetery. Reverend Scott Rogers officiated. Wells Funeral Home had charge.
She was born April 29, 1950 to the late R. C. Woodard and Jewel Fryer Woodard in Memphis. She liked sewing, cooking and dancing.
Survivors include her  husband; Ike C. Dulin Sr., of Batesville; children Joy Robertson and Bill P. Dulin, both of Batesville, Kerry McKissick of Lucedale, and Ike C. Dulin Jr. of Senatobia; sisters; Linda J. Carback and Donna Tidwell both of Batesville, Carol Ann Johnston of Knoxville; 12 grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

George Roberts Shields

George Roberts “Bobby” Shields, age 71, husband of Alice Shields, passed away Friday afternoon, September 23, 2016.
Services were held Monday at Crowder Baptist Church with interment following in Crowder Cemetery. Wells Funeral Home had charge.
Bobby was born July 12, 1945 in Batesville, to the late George Edgar and Emma Roberts Shields.
Mr. Shields was a farmer, but he had many others jobs that were just as important. He was the chairman of the Quitman County Election Committee and the South Quitman County Water Association just to name a couple.
Bobby was very active and faithful to his church, Crowder Baptist Church, where he served as Sunday School Superintendent, a deacon and the Baptist Men’s Director of Crowder Baptist Church. He received great pleasure serving people, as he spent twenty-two years going on mission trips to help people.
Bobby is survived by his wife, Alice Roper Shields of Crowder; two daughters, Anna Shields Cook of Southaven, Laura Shields Mills (Allen) of Brookhaven; three brothers, H. M. Shields (Phyllis) of Blair, NE, Howard Shields (Martha) of Collierville, Tenn., Elton Shields (Dinah) of Southaven; sister-in-law, Teresa Shields of Brandon; five grandchildren, Patrick Cook, Morgan Cook, Wesley Cook, Stephen Mills and Nathan Mills.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Joyce Shields and a brother, Jack Shields.

Edward Wayne Willis

BATESVILLE––Edward Wayne “Eddie” Willis, 50, passed away in the early morning hours of Monday, September 19, 2016, at his home in Batesville, MS.
Services were held Wednesday, September 21, at Wells Funeral Home.
Eddie was born February 21, 1966, to James Edward Willis and Linda Ann Haire Willis in Leland, MS. He loved working on cars. He loved fishing and spending time with family and friends.
In addition to his parents, he leaves behind two daughters; Jennifer Paige Willis Cadena “Paige” of Batesville, MS and Tiffany Willis Austin of Hernando, MS; two brothers, James Michael Willis “Mike” and Christopher Lee Willis “Chris” both of Batesville, MS; one granddaughter, Marley Claire Austin and one grandson, Riley Clark Cadena.
