Cora Inez Garrard Malone

BATESVILLE–Cora Inez Garrard Malone, age 94, died Wednesday, August 31, 2016 at Golden Living Center in Batesville.
Funeral services will be Saturday, September 3 at 11 a.m. at Wells Funeral Home with visitation beginning at 10 a.m. prior to the service. Interment will be held at 3 p.m. at Wake Forest Baptist Church Cemetery in Sturgis. Dr. Tommy Snyder will officiate the services.
Inez was born September 6, 1921 to the late John Garrard and Josephine Duran Garrard in Winston County. She was a member of Batesville First Baptist Church. 

Prudie Meredith Garton Moss

BATESVILLE–Prudie Meredith Garton Moss, age 96, passed away Wednesday afternoon, August 31, 2016 at Starkville Manor Nursing Home in Starkville.
Mrs. Moss was the widow of Byron Maddox “Tootsie” Moss of Batesville.
Funeral arrangements were incomplete at press time. Wells Funeral Home has charge.

Dennis Ray Oliver

BATESVILLE–Dennis Ray Oliver, 52, died August 30, 2016 at his residence.
Funeral services will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at Cooley’s Mortuary Chapel, with Jacob Hentz officiating. Burial will be in Pilgrim Rest Church Cemetery. Visitation will be today from 1-4 p.m.
Mr. Oliver was the son of Frank Oliver and Marie Towns Oliver. Born October 28, 1963, he attended schools in the South Panola District and was a member of Pilgrim Rest M.B. Church.
