The Panola County Sheriff’s Department is attempting to recoup part of its auto expenses by bidding off three used 2013 Chevrolet Tahoes.

The department mimics other departments such as sanitation and road by selling the late model vehicles or equipment while the worth is greater rather than using the vehicles until they are no longer serviceable with little or no trade-in value.

The vehicles will be located in front of the Panola County jail on Highway 35 N for inspection between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. through Saturday, December 6.

Bids will be taken until 9 a.m. Monday at the County Administrator’s office in the Batesville Courthouse.
